i can't believe this is already happening. the collective of musicians and artists i am involved with in denver is so smart/creative/driven/NICE
there are beefs around the city. dotting letters and crossing i's i'suppose.
i've taken what i learned from the music thang in new orleans and appliedknowledge/avoideddrama. these kids here are somethin else. i just learned today that they're all younger than me really. must be why i "feel young again."
i'm in a couple of different projects/bands....poseur sex was the first, post-punk-romance thing..trev (pacific pride, goochi boiz), cake, jake, and jerk...Dick Power mgmt.
dead cereal played a show at rhinoceropolis. "wow dude, that was some exploratory dance music."

now bath haus (jacob and i) have a show with real magic at meadowlark in january....big show, real magic is for R E A L / / / /
we're making gay/cunty/disco traxx and it's so much fun.
luis and lauren are two fabulous dj's....two of my favorites i've seen here, as in, i'm a fan.
lauren and israel run the coolest party in town, DAMN GURL. tranny bus driver, all proceeds to SWOP, drag king/queen show, best djs in town, all ages and totes queer.
bri's been doing visuals, and they're legendary. she also makes killer beats.
then, lauren's hubby isaac (big bro) must be the most knowledgeable fella! but wait, you look up on bandcamp and he's featured on a alphabet crew song or he's playing with the philharmonic this weekend. where do they come from?
now, luis bri and i (mookie, bubbles, and jay 4play) started a dreamy pop house group, and i must say they're some of the finest pop songs i've written/been a part of.
that happened tonight. we're called dotwav
so of course it got me thinkin, during these tough times (the past few weeks in denver ((car trouble, broke trouble))(((NOT HARD)))))))) i've lived off music. i have nothing else to do. i won't go out, i must stay in and bleed my brain!
i told luis this parable of sorts, to which he replied "that's the way it happens."
right luis? that's why you appreciate the hard times. bc you know all your best creativity came from anger and fear. you told that page/track/canvas, IM HERE. and she listend. and you bled. silky red.
tough times in denver aint much, but it's cold and they're my shoes i'm wearin em. and i have feet, so that's nice.
but really, i know it's hard, bc my art has been the SHIT lately.
pat yourself on the back if you made it/deserve it. can't catch a break? catch a pen. and if you feel that writer's block creepin in, get fired and break your car. a blank page is waiting.
